Elton John and his Red Piano sticky icon

From Harrahs.com: He has survived the ups and downs of musical stardom for over 30 years. Commercially, creatively, on stage and on record, Elton John is a legendary artist — one who is still as relevant as ever. Elton John's finely honed stage presence, a winning factor in targeting his tunes straight into the heart of America, is excess incarnate. In The Red Piano, the showy costumes are replaced by incredible video imagery and stage props, yet the end result is unmistakably classic Elton John. Gregarious, show-stopping, outlandish and unforgettable. Words that could be Elton John as much as they are Vegas. Together with photographer David LaChapelle, Elton John has created The Red Piano — a career overview performance you won't soon forget.

Learn to Play Chords

Chords are made up of 3 or more notes. They are created by combining intervals. An interval is made up of 2 notes. The distance from the first note to the next is the name of the interval. The distance from one note to the very next note
on the keyboard is one half step. If you go from one note up 4 half steps, otherwise known as 2 whole steps, you have an interval called a major third. By combining certain intervals such as this, you can create any chord you want! Chris Hudson on Beale Street

Heard this guy on Beale the other night at Pat O's in Memphis, TN playing piano. Sings great. His vocal range was as wide as his song styles. The night I was there, Chris got requests for everything from Frank Sinatra to Def Lepoard, from Kenny Chesney to Phantom of the Opera. All the young kids were having so much fun, and the music they love most is a little older...about as old a me! I was so surprised when I saw young kids taking requests up to Chris and I anxiously awaited to see what they had asked for. It was always some old song that I grew up with like "Georgia on my Mind" or "Build me up Buttercup". I have no idea where those kids ever even heard of those songs.

Chris grew up in NC and lived in Vegas for a while working in all those casinos. Must have been a wild time in his life. But I think it really must have taught him alot about entertaining and getting the audience involved in the music. Fun time for everyone that night.

The Best Piano Guy in Las Vegas

Ray Glover

Heard a great piano guy in Vegas. Ray Glover. He's at the Bellagio in the Baccarat lounge, something like 9pm to 1am with a stand up bass player. Ray is playing a baby grand, it's all instrumental with no vocals. Very classy place. Ray is a great player and wears a nice coat and tie, is very personable. He also sings great, but this venue does not promote vocals. He told me he also plays a few nights in the dueling piano bar at the NewYorkNewYork hotel, which is a totally different side of Ray. The Baccarat lounge is very comfy and cool. Check it out! Ray plays great and is very gracious, don't be afraid to say hello to him.
