Learn to Play Chords

By music - Posted on 19 May 2008

Chords are made up of 3 or more notes. They are created by combining intervals. An interval is made up of 2 notes. The distance from the first note to the next is the name of the interval. The distance from one note to the very next note
on the keyboard is one half step. If you go from one note up 4 half steps, otherwise known as 2 whole steps, you have an interval called a major third. By combining certain intervals such as this, you can create any chord you want!
